Los-Angeles-Platz becomes a monument

Centrally located in the area of Charlottenburg in Berlin, on the rear of one of the buildings of the Tauentzienstraße, in between the Rankestraße, the Augsburgerstraße and the Marburgerstraße is the Los-Angeles-Platz.

Contipark owns the underground car park underneath the square since 1996 and since 1997 also the whole public green area above it.

Now the square has been officially appointed as a garden monument by the city of Berlin, to secure its maintenance in the public interest and to save its importance to the city’s urban fabric.

Contipark welcomes that decision a lot. For many years the business group has been taking care of the public green space to provide a green and relaxing retreat for residents and visitors in between the hustle and bustle of the Tauentzien.
