Successful trade fair PARKEN attracted numerous visitors and exhibitors to Wiesbaden

From the 5th to the 6th of June, numerous players in the field of stationary traffic gathered in Wiesbaden. The 13th edition of the PARKEN trade fair attracted a total of 112 exhibitors and over 1,600 visitors to the newly built RheinMain CongressCenter. Compared to the previous trade fair, it was thus able to record an increase in visitor numbers of almost eleven percent.

Organised by the Bundesverband Parken (Federal Parking Association) as the ideal sponsor and Mesago Messe Frankfurt as the organiser, the PARKEN trade fair, which was held for the first time in 1995, has developed over the years into the number one industry meeting place.

The event, which takes place every two years, not only offers comprehensive information on innovative products and services relating to the planning, construction and operation of stationary traffic facilities. On a total of 5,080 square metres of exhibition space, visitors also took the opportunity to exchange experiences and network. At the symposium of the Bundesverband Parken e.V. on the 5th of June, renowned speakers provided the participants with insights into highly topical industry topics. A total of 233 parking industry representatives used the symposium as a platform for further training and knowledge exchange.

On both days, numerous trade fair visitors took advantage of the opportunity to exchange views on the entire range of products and solutions relating to stationary traffic.

CONTIPARK Managing Director Michael Kesseler not only opened the symposium in his capacity as President of the German Federal Parking Association, but also gave a presentation himself as part of the programme. Under the title "What is going on in Europe? Strategies, Projects and Opportunities for the Parking Industry", he presented, inter alia, various digitisation projects of the European Parking Association (EPA) to the participants of the symposium, in which he is involved as Vice President.

Visitors were not only given an extensive overview of the market, but also the opportunity to deal with highly relevant topics such as Automated Valet Parking. In cooperation with renowned companies from the automotive and technology industries, the Verband der Automobilindustrie (German Association of the Automotive Industry) presented presented the current status quo, but also future visions for driverless parking.

The event thus once again proved to be a cutting-edge platform for the parking branch this year. The next PARKEN trade fair will take place in Wiesbaden from 23rd to 24th June 2021.
