The CONTIPARK group purchased the city car park in the Löwenstraße in Kaiserslautern on 07th June 2014 for 5 Mio. Euro. The seller is the asset and investment manager Schroder Property for the real estate company European Real Estate Investment Trust Limited that is on the Londoner stock exchange (EREIT).
Since September 2013 CONTIPARK operates the centrally located car park in Kaiserslautern, which directly adjoins the pedestrian zone. It offers 408 spaces on 3 parking levels. With the purchase of the city car park the second object merges into the property portfolio of CONTIPARK within one month. CONTIPARK already purchased the car park of the Virchow Klinikum of the Charité in Berlin at the beginning of June.
With the strategic additional purchase of parking facilities CONTIPARK strengthens its competitive position and builds up a sustainable real estate portfolio.
