Two years ago the project BeMobility, which is patronized by the federal ministry of Transport, Construction and urban development (BMVBS), was founded. The goal of the project is the operation of a public e-car fleet offered for car sharing. This fleet shall act as a significant part of the public transport under genuine operating conditions.
Contipark is part of the project since the launch and contributes parking spaces within its facilities for the installation of the charging stations for the e-cars.
The test run which started this spring contains the operation up to 40 e-cars and e-bicycles. The aim of this phase is to test all project components, which means the e-car fleet, renting stations, integrated pricing systems and the newly introduced mobility card.
Contipark also supports the project at the scientific supervision with its wide know-how in the field of parking and its interfaces. Together with other project partners Contipark analyzes in which way the different project components can be transferred into an integrated system.
